Essay

The object is detection of the bcr/abl gene and analysing changes at the DH domain of this gene of patients with CML and ALL at the different stage of the illness; the aim is investigation of dbl-homology region of the bcr/abl cDNA of patients with CML and ALL with Ph'-positive leukemias and development of molecular-genetic methods for diagnostics of this group illness; the methods of microbiology, molecular biology, genetic engineering were applied; the novelty - the loss of various parts of different length of the DH domain of the p210 BCR/ABL mRNA was found to occur for some patients suffering from ALL and CML at the acceleration illness stage. Seven new variants of the himeric mRNA is described and submissioned at Genbank; results - alteration of the DH domain of the BCR/ABL cDNA was found to occur for some patients suffering from CML (at acceleration stage) and ALL, the test system for detection and differential diagnostics of the Ph'-positive leukemias is proposed to reveal the classic translocation as well as the uncanonical translocation in the bcr region of the hybrid bcr/abl gene, declacation patent was obtain; the field - molecular genetics.
