Essay

The subject of the study is wire spiral and spiral-toroidal heat exchanging surfaces of the circular form. The purpose is creating of a database under thermal and aerodynamic characteristics and design criteria of heating blocks with spiral and spiral - toroidal wire surfaces of heat exchange. Methods of study are method of natural experiment, analytical method, computing method and method of computer modeling. Novelty: we have obtained the criterion regression equations for calculation of heat emission and aerodynamic resistance depending on geometrical and regime parameters for grate, spiral and spiral-toroidal heat exchanging surfaces with a cross-section and longitudinal flowing under conditions of accumulating of straight and twisted air stream. Results: Some techniques are offered and an experimental stand for determining these characteristics has been developed; new designs surfaces of heat emission with good compactness, simplicity and adaptability making are developed. The realization level: received criterion regression equations, design criteria, recommendations are used for designing electric thermal fans and curtains, electric convectors, electric channel heaters and water heaters in research-and-production firm "Busol". Field of use is engineering thermal physics and industrial heat-and-power engineering.
