Object of research. congenital hip dislocation in children and adolescents. The purpose. To substantiate and elaborate methods of application of external pin fixation for treatment of congenital hip dislocation in children and adolescents. Methods of research: clinical, radiological, computer tomography, finite-element method. Scientific novelty. On the base of finite-element model of cinematic part “pelvis—femur”, pin and Ilizarov external fixation devices advantages of application full pins in pelvic bone was demonstrated. It allows reducing the strain stress state of pelvic bone in “pin-bone” contact area. Some safe corridors for pin location in various levels of pelvis bone were determined. Some methods of treatment hip congenital dislocation in children and adolescents using pin rod external fixation devices and some types of external fixation devices were offered. Approbation of those methods have been performed in patients with hip congenital dislocation. In this learning run we have revealed that our methods are quite effective and may be used for treatment patients with this patology. Results of research are introduced into clinical practice of the Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology AMS of Ukraine, into the educational process of in department of traumotology , orthopedics and combustiology of Kharkov medical academy postgradual education
