Essay

Catalysts of aliphatic alcohols electrooxidation in alkaline media. Deposition and electrocatalytic properties of oxide-hydroxide nickel composite coatings. Investigation methods: voltamperometry, potentiometry, turbidimetrye, electrofores, fotocolorimetry, X-ray diffraction, thermal gravimetry, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray microanalysis, gas chromatography. For the first time it has been demonstrated that high catalytic activity of oxide-hydroxide nickel composite coatings for aliphatic alcohols electrooxidation. The mechanism of composite coatings deposition was proposed and their chemical and phase composition were established. The mechanism of aliphatic alcohols electrooxidation at nickel composite coatings was proposed. Sphere of utilization: alcohols feed fuel cells, electrochemical sensors, organic synthesis.
