Essay

The object of the research is shaving rams for working cylindrical evolventa gears; the goal of the research is effectiveness increase of shaving rams and their use in gear shaping; methods of research are modern theories of toothing, shaping, 3D modeling and finite elements; theoretical and practical results: we offered, developed and studied a new construction of shaping rams with separated settings of conical and side back surface in the stand-alone use of the back angle coustancy and versatility of shaping rams were considerably improved; a new scientific approach to engineering of the introduced shaving rams subject to their specific character was implemented; degree of adoption: in research institutions, enterprises and during training; field: machine building.
