Essay

Object of research: myasthenia gravis. Purpose of research: exposure of intercommunication between the morphological displays of defeat of thymus gland and features of myasthenia gravis for further development of criteria of before- and post operation prognosis of results of thymectomy. Methods of research: macroscopical, organometrical, histological, histochemistrycal, cytophotometrical, immunohistochemistrycal, morphometrical and statistical. Theoretical and practical results: The conducted complex research of morpho-functional features of the thymus, indexes of cellular and humoral links of immunity of women with myasthenia gravis flowing on a background atrophy and hyperplasia of thymus, allowed to expose different pathogenesis of these myasthenia and, accordingly, different morphology of thymus and to define the criteria before- and post operation prognosis of thymectomy at treatment of myasthenia. At myasthenia gravis it is necessary to consider atrophy of thymus (atrophy of veritable parenchymaepithelial component), absolute deficit of T-suppressor-cell in the parenchyma of thymus and whey of blood, deficit of IgG and IgA, the criteria of ineffectiveness of thymectomy in the whey of blood. Novelty of the obtained results: Morpho-functional distinctions of thymus of women are first exposed with myasthenia gravis at his no tumor defeat. It is set that myasthenia gravis at women flows on a background atrophy of thymus with making progress thymical (suppressor) insufficiency or on a background hyperplasia with thymical hyperactivity and these morphological displays of myasthenia gravis in a thymus gland have different pathogenesis. Intercommunication is first exposed between the morphological changes of thymus, immunological changes in a blood and results of thymectomy. Introduction: This research performances are inculcated in work of pathological anatomy separations of the Kharkov regional clinical hospital, Kharkov institute of general and urgent surgery of AMS Ukraine, and also in the educational process of department of general and clinical pathology of faculty of fundamental medicine of the Kharkov State University of V.N. Karazin, departments of pathological anatomy of the Kharkov state medical university and department of pathological anatomy of the Kharkov medical academy of postgraduate education. Sphere of use: pathological anatomy, immunology, neurology, surgery.
