Essay

Investigation objects: acid-base transformations of organic probes in organized nanosized systems containing quaternary ammonium groups. Purpose: features revelation of four organized systems - CTAB-modified silica nanoparticles, cationic dendrimers as well as cationic and anionic polyelectrolyte brushes from the viewpoint of their influence on protolytic equilibria and spectral properties of indicators of different nature in aqueous solutions. Methods: spectrophotometry, fluorescence spectroscopy, electronic transmission microscopy, dynamic light scattering. The differentiating action of silica nanoparticles with diameter of 40 and 85 nm, covered with surfactant adlayer on the acid-base equilibria of indicator dyes has been studied. The influence of four second generation cationic poly(propylene)imine dendrimers on the protolytic behavior of different indicator dyes was revealed. The protolytic equilibria of acid-base indicators in suspensions of cationic and anionic polyelectrolyte brushes as well asin the presence of anionic brush-CTAB complexes were examined. Degree of application: the data obtained could be used for organized media investigations with the purpose of probes creation on their basis.
