Essay

It is shown that amorphous alloys of Al-Ni-Y system reveal the inhomogeneous short range order. Chemically ordered clusters whose atomic arrangement is Al3Ni like are the main characteristic features of this inhomogeneous structure. It is shown that initial Al crystals growth reveals diffusive governed character. The method for studying of crystallization process kinetics by means of diffraction maximum changes with temperature and time recording is proposed. The amorphous alloys dopped with Cu and Nb reveal the inhomogeneous structure, consisting Fe3Si nanoclusters distributed in amorphous matrix. The results indicate the significant influence of Nb-content on mechanism and kinetics of phase-transformation at crystallization process in Fe-Si-B-Nb-Cu amorphous alloys.
