Essay

The work is based on an analysis of data obtained during the examination and treatment of 429 patients with idiopathic scoliosis. It was 341 (79,4 %) girls and 88 (20,6 %) boys. The analysis of dynamics of bone (wedge and torsion) and soft tissue changes in the primary and compensatory idiopathic scoliosis curvature made it possible to predict the course of disease. For the results of finite element modeling developed biomechanical model of development secondary curvature of lumbar spine with thoracic idiopathic scoliosis. Based on an integrated clinical and instrumental studies of patients with idiopathic scoliosis the diagram of mechanogenesis of compensatory lumbar curvature of idiopathic scoliosis was designed. A geometric design scheme and the formula for calculating the optimal application of force to ensure effective correction of curvature of the longitudinal axis of the spine in planning surgical treatment. Fixing all the structural curves helps to achieve optimal correction and prevent its loss in the postoperative period
