Essay

The topic of dissertation is tissue, cellular and functional heterogeneity of gastric carcinoma and linkage of tumor heterogeneity to its invasiveness. We have revealed that in intestinal type gastric carcinoma the invasiveness is mainly dependent on tissue heterogeneity and its degree. In diffuse and mixed types of gastric carcinoma the invasiveness depends on cellular and functional heterogeneity and its degree. Also, the mucin carbohydrate composition and immunohistochemical characteristics of tumor cells have an influence on invasiveness of gastric carcinoma.
