Object - process of diamond grinding of hard alloys of group ВК, the purpose - increase of productivity and decrease of the specific cost of diamond grinding of hard alloys due to rational use of cutting capacity of a wheel, methods - theoretical methods which are based on fundamental propositions of the cutting theory, methods of probability theory and mathematical statistics, experimental methods, results - it is established that change of the current limited cutting capacity of a wheel at machining of hard alloys of marks ВК6, ВК8, ВК15 by wheel of mark АС6 is described by common for these marks of alloys exponential dependence, and increase of the current limited cutting capacity of a wheel during spark-erosive actions simultaneously with machining of workpiece - by linear law, on the basis of cyclicity of grinding of hard alloys optimum time between periodic spark-erosive actions on WWS by criterion of the minimal specific machining cost is determined, the new way of grinding is developed (the patent of Ukraine № 51396). Novelty - the concept "current limited cutting capacity of a wheel" which is estimated by quantity of material having been ground off per unit of time in view of the technical restriction limiting the grinding conditions is entered for the first time, tolerable allowable hold down pressure of a sample piece from a hard alloy to wheel working surface on limiting technical restriction - temperature of oxidation of diamond grains - is analytically determined for the first time, it is established for the first time, that grinding with periodic spark-erosive actions on wheel working surface can be presented as alternation of cycles - "grinding - grinding with spark-erosive actions", which are described by various laws of change of the current limited cutting capacity of a wheel. Degree of introduction - results of research are introduced on JSV Rutchenkovsky factory "Mining machinery" with expected economic benefit of 120000 hrn per year, in educational process on department "Metal-cuttingmachines and tools" of Donetsk national technical university. Sphere of use - the tool and machine-building enterprises.
