The dissertation is devoted to investigation of biochemical properties of proteins from siliceous skeletal elements of sponge Suberites domuncula, and also to investigation of influence of these proteins as a part of biocomposit material on proliferation and mineralization in osteogenic cell culture SaOS-2.It was determined, that the proteinous part of the skeletal elements of the sponge Suberites domuncula predominantly consists of the proteins with molecular weght 23 and 24 kDa. The protein with molecular weight 24 kDa (silicatein ?) was identificated by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry method.
