Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of influence of initial and constructive perturbations on the steady motions of the gimbals suspended gyroscope, stated on the immovable foundation and supplied with the synchronous electric engine. A sufficient stability condition is found for these motions in the form of two inequalities. It is established, that availability of minimum of the reduced potential energy is sufficient and, as a rule, necessary stability condition for steady motions. The existence of pseudoregular precessions is proved in the case of small dynamic asymmetry of the rotor.
