Essay

Thesis covers actual problem of determination of micro-mechanical characteristics on local areas of surface layer of materials and products by method of depth sensing indentation and scratch testing and problem solving on the ground of development multifunctional automated instrument. To provide indenter displacement electromagnetic force actuator indented for transformation current into mechanical force was developed. To measure indenter displacement with high resolution the inductive sensor was developed. Differential compensator of instrument constructional elements deflections was designed and proved. The special algorithmic foundation and software for instrument controlling and calibrating, besides processing, saving and presentation of obtained data was designed and approved. Invented methodological foundation for load displacement diagram correction with a glance of initial contact features, this provides constant values of nano- and microhardness with different values of force and penetration depth and method of determination material inhomogeneity along scanning trace, without influence of surface profile.
