Kolomiyets T. Biological peculiarities of representatives of the family Bromeliaceae Juss. introduced in greenhouses of O.V. Fomin Botanical Garden and prospects of their use.

This thesis is dedicated to the study of biological peculiarities and prospects of use of plants of the family Bromeliaceae introduced in greenhouses. The taxonomic composition of the collection has been analysed and geographical spread of representatives of the family Bromeliaceae in natural areas have been given.The rhythms of growth, peculiarities of blossom and fruitage have been studied. The peculiarities of seed multiplication of representatives of the family Bromeliaceae under the conditions of culture have been investigated.It has been carried out the complex evaluation of introduction success of plants of the family Bromeliaceae on the basis of which 144 taxons (83%) are recommended for using them in the phytodesign and educational process.
