Processes of combustion and toxic substances formation in gas ICE by example 6ГЧ13/14 engine. Improvement of ecological characteris-tics of transport diesel at the expense of decreasing of harmful sub-stances exhaust emission. Mathematical simulation of combustion process, mathematical simulation of harmful substances formation in engine cylinder, experimental evaluation of harmful substances content in exhaust gases, experimental evaluation of combustion process factors, mathematical planning of experiment. Improved I.I. Vibe mathematical model of work process considering that combustion factor m for heat release characteristic calculation is variable and depends on excess air coefficient, engine crankshaft rotational speed, spark angle, volumetric efficiency. Results of investigation of toxicity factors of gas engine using improved I.I. Vibe mathematical model. Methodic of I.I. Vibe combustion factor m estimation using experimental heat release characteristic. Dependence of I.I. Vibe combustion factor m on excess air coefficient, engine crankshaft rotational speed, spark angle, volumetric efficiency. Results of researches are transferred for use and introduction to government enterprise “Харьковский автомобильный ремонтный завод № 126”, research laboratory of department DVS HNADU, and are used in classes when training of students of specialty 7.090210 – internal combustion engines. An engine building.
