Zyma A. Diagnosis and orthopedic treatment of various forms of the progressive muscle dystrophy

The thesis is devoted to the actual issue – the improvement of treatment results of patients with orthopedic manifestations in the progressive muscle dystrophy by the way of study of structural and functional state of skeletal muscles, features of the origin and course of orthopedic pathology, its systematization, elaboration and introduction of the orthopedic treatment system. 91 patients were under complex examination for the progressive muscle dystrophy. The dependence between potential index changes of moving units and dynamics of pathologic process in muscles has been determined in the electromyographic examination. The biochemical examination of blood serum and muscle tissue of patients with progressive muscle dystrophy permits to evaluate objectively the activity of pathologic process and to determine dependence between ferment activity of energetic exchange in blood serum and muscle tissue and clinical and orthopedic manifestations of the progressive muscle dystrophy. The use of the developed diagnostic and treating algorithm and the system of orthopedic treatment of patients with progressive muscle dystrophy have contributed to achievement of positive treatment results in 73%.
