Borisov M. Development of thermal power generation in Ukraine grounding on power plants basic equipment modernization

The work is devoted to comparative investigation, choice and ranging of variants of power boilers and turbines modernization in Ukraine. The results of test CFB-combustion of coal schlamm wastes are described. Proposals of turbines' low-cost modernization aiming to increase their effectivity and flexibility are worked out. Projects of power plants reconstruction developed with the author's participation are discussed. Conception is developed of 3-level power units reconstruction depending on their state, planned operation regime and terms, fuel base etc., on the base of modern boiler and turbine technologies, with better technical and ecological characteristics. Results are used by Ministry of Fuel and Power of Ukraine when power plants reconstruction plan developing, by Ukrainian and foreign energy and engineering companies when projects of power plants modernization working out and fulfilling.
