Essay

The dissertation deals with development of data compression computer system, which provides data streams compression with different algorithms. In the dissertation a new method of compression processors building is proposed. On the base of the proposed method a new compression system architecture is proposed. It consists of such components: multichannel data streams controller (MDSC), multichannel data streams processor (MDSP) and data streams processing scheduler (DSPS). MDSC is a configurable multichannel storage device which provides several independent data streams storing and reading to route them to the MDSP to be processed. MDSP is a multichannel configurable processing device which provides the ability of dynamic hardware reconfiguration during system's functioning, depending on the compression algorithm which should be used to process data stream. DSPS calculates the queue coefficient, based on the static and dynamic parameters for each data stream, to decide on data stream processing.
