Essay

The dissertation focuses on the development of theory of standby power supply systems with diesel generators and on the ways to increase energy efficiency of such systems by using of semiconductor converters. Optimization of system functioning at variable load by criteria of optimization of fuel consumption is proposed on the base of algorithm of dynamical identification of diesel generator time constant. Improving of working regimes of power supply system is achieved by using of filter-compensating devices and combined matrix converters with constant and variable input. Using of system with dual supply and proposed algorithm of matrix converter control leads to forming of almost sine-shaped current with zero phase shift concerning the voltage. Such effect responses to equivalent active load and eliminates problems of rotor angle fluctuations in transient and steady regimes. Such approach for system construction provides with possibility of multivariate structure change of main circuit, necessary quality of in-put and output currents and voltages at working with different load.
