Gnatiuk A. Genus Colchicum L. in Ukraine (systematic, chorology, morphology, plant introduction, phytosozology).

The Dissertation is dedicates to investigation of representatives of genus Colchicum L. in Ukraine. The results of generalization of available materials on systematic are presented and comparative analysis of Colchicum L. taxa is carried out. The data on chorology of representatives of genus Colchicum in Ukraine are supplemented. The biology and ontomorphogeny of Colchicum species (a wit, C. ancyrense B. L. Burtt, C. autumnale L., C. fominii Bordz., and C. umbrosum Steven.) in flora of Ukraine are investigated. The keys for definition of these species at different phases of vegetation are compiled. The features of age states of individuals in natural conditions are researched. Descriptions of natural places of growth are given, and the state of populations of this genus species in Ukraine are studied. The maps-schemes of plants distribution are drawn up. The features of development of 10 representatives of genus Colchicum are researched during introduction and acclimatization. An estimation of possibility of their growing and breeding in the conditions of Kyiv with the purpose of cultivation and repatriation is done. Recommendations on their use in ornamental horticulture are developed. The state of Colchicum species preservation in Ukraine is analyzed.
