Essay

The thesis is devoted to elaboration of the carriers for the long-term data storage. A performing of the data recording as microrelief on the transparent high-stable material surface was proposed. For such media data format is compatible with standard optical disks, and reproducing recorded information using standard optical disks players was allowed. The mathematical model of optical media with relief-phase data encoding reproducing signal dependence on pit dimensions was developed. The pit depth for various transparent materials was calculated by the model according to CD format. The producing method of optical media for the long-term data storage was developed. A reactive ion-beam etching was proposed for performing of optical media data layer. The glass compact-disc for the long-term data storage was created and reproduced by CD and DVD players.
