Essay

The experimental and theoretical study of heat transfer and pressure drop at the air flow over the dual array of dimples of different shape was carried out. The data was obtained regarding the Reynolds analogy factor after the dual array. The diagram characterizing the modified Reynolds analogy factor was developed. As shown, application of the coordinates [(Nu/Nu0)/(f/f0)]–f/f0 enables to represent in the uniform mode the experimental data for different augmenters. The diagrams characterizing Reynolds analogy factor and thermal-hydraulic performance of multiple dimples were developed. Suggestions were given regarding the new heat exchange surface design using periodic location of the dual array of dimples on the flat plate.
