Essay

The detailed theoretical analysis of resonance effects, occurring when an arbitrarily polarized plane monochromatic wave is incident onto a single and double periodically modulated optically thick metal film sandwiched between two transparent media, is performed. Theoretical study of the resonant suppression of the specular reflection of terahertz waves in layered superconductors due to the excitation of surface Josephson plasma waves is made.
