Essay

Dissertation is devoted to questions of on-line testing in modern iterative array computing devices for approximate data processing. The method of segments checking the result of mantissas processing is designed. This method provides given value of detection probability for errors produced by typical faults of digital circuits. The estimation formulas of the error detection probability, reliability of the result checking and its increase by the count of time redundant that is particularly in process of the errors accumulation in non-exit result bits are defined. The structural schemes of the segments checking are designed and the methods for chousing the segment check points are offered. The segment checking means for parallel shifters and adders, iterative array multipliers and dividers of mantissas are designed. The segments checking increases reliability of the approximated result check reducing the detection probability of inessential errors.
