Essay

The dissertation deals with investigation of the self-organization processes in electrochemical systems by means of the dynamical systems theory. Theoretical ground for its formation is presented. The systems with electrocatalytic surface reaction and with anodic dissolution (cathodic deposition) of metals during oxide (hydroxide) passivation in potentiostatic regime are considered. The systems with single electroactive component which is transformed electrochemically through a single elementary act without specific adsorption accounting and neglecting the electrostatic interaction forces and the systems with specific adsorption of electroactive and non-electroactive substance are considered at galvanostatic conditions. The stability analysis of the steady states is perfomed and the criteria of instabilities formation leading to the multiplicity of the steady states through the static bifurcation and to the oscillatory modes through the Hopf bifurcation are found.
