Essay

The dissertation is concerned with upgrading the efficiency of the existing methods and means of limiting the short circuit currents to reduce losses during absence of short circuit currents and to increase the response speed of short-circuit current limiting process. Investigation of the operating conditions of method of limitation and current-limiting devices allowed developing a new complex device based on the decision theory and on the resource- and energy-saving algorithms for operation all component elements of industrial power systems to ensure the most effective operating conditions of current-limiting devices.
