Maltsov I. The shoot systems within genus Dracaena Vand. ex L. (Dracaenaceae Salisb.)

The thesis is devoted to study of the morphology and structure of shoots and shoot systems within genus Dracaena. The diversity of the shoot morphology and the peculiarities of the arrangement of the leaf vascular bundles in 9 model Dracaena species are analyzed firstly. We distinguished the modules of their shoot system structure and realized the comparative analysis of these modules. The regularities of the shoot morphology are studied and the stages of their development are established. As a result, the moduses of the rebuilding of the ontomorphogeny are determined. Firstly we analyzed the arrangement and the space orientation of the leaf vascular bundles in the model Dracaena species. As a result of this study, we specified the strategy of a growth and the tendencies of the adaptive changeability of the morphological structures within genus Dracaena.
