Object: processes of formation and development of the regional markets of medical services. The purpose: working out theoretical and methodological bases of a regional policy of formation of the regional markets of medical services in Ukraine and a substantiation of ways of increase of efficiency their functioning. Methods: a statistical method, graphical method; a method of theoretical comparison, the economic analysis and generalisation; an index method. Theoretical results: methodical bases of formation of a regional policy of formation and development of the regional markets of medical services are developed. Practical results: level of asymmetry of formation of the regional markets of medical services is estimated. Novelty: The differentiated approach to formation of a regional policy of development of the regional markets of medical services is offered; the technique of forecasting to radius of service of the population is improved by region medical institutions; classification of factors of formation of the regional market of medical services in Ukraine has got the further development; the technique of an estimation of cumulative influence of conditions on formation of a supply and demand of medical services on the basis of calculation of an integrated index of usefulness of conditions of formation of demand for medical services and an index of usefulness of conditions of formation of the offer of medical services has got the further development; have got the further development approaches to definition of force of influence of factors on a supply and demand of medical services in region.
