Essay

A new cemented hip prosthesis was designed and clinically probed in surgical treatment of 160 patients which takes into consideration the neck-shaft angle variability. Behavior of the details and junctions of the prosthesis was studied in experiments using different friction couples in static and dynamic interactions. A biomechanical model of the femoral stem was designed which allows to assess the changes in mechanical stresses in the material of the prosthesis depending on its typesize. The femoral stems with the neck-stem angle of 125° were implanted in 22.64 %, 135° - in 62.26 %, and 145° - in 15.09 % cases. Retrieved data was analyzed statistically showed the relative influence of different parameters on the total score. This influence for such parameters as limp and support was more significant in the control groups: Howmedica and Zimmer, and less significant in the main group. Therefore, the newly designed technology of hip replacement can be recommended for wide implementation into clinical prаctice
