The offers insights into the problem of the forced repatriation of the Soviet citizens to the USSR after the World War II. It provides the clues to that forced repatriation and the consequences of the process for the political image of the USSR. The central issue in the research is the analysis of the political, social-economic, national and religious reasons for the resistance of some exiled Soviet citizens to return to the USSR. The author, for the first time, focuses on the Ukrainian vector the repatriation movement process and proves that it was the territory of Ukraine, that was the main route for the postwar repatrians.
