he dissertation focuses on the problem of improving the diagnosis and surgical treatment for the patients with cranio-facial trauma. We investigated and operated 220 patients, the rest of the patients were outpatients in the years 2003-2005. There were highlighted anatomical pecularities that may have influence on development of complications after cranio-facial trauma, clinical special signs and main diagnostic procedures that help trauma surgeon provide an adequate approach to cranio-facial trauma patient. The work helped to fix indications and time of surgical procedures in all groups of cranio-facial trauma patients depending on the severity of the trauma. The results of this research work have found practical application in neurosurgical practice.
