Essay

The thesis is devoted to an investigation of a process of deposit formation including different type of interparticle interactions, a structure and percolation properties of composite deposits and aggregation processes in colloid dispersions. For a model of deposit formation with interparticle heterointeractions a process of defect annihilation in deposit structure was discovered. Dependencies, which describe the processes of defect annihilation and density of deposit, are similar and have inversely proportional scaling coefficients. Extreme particle concentration dependencies of bidisperse deposit density were shown. Cluster analysis of composite deposit predicts the lower concentration of percolation transition for the small particles. An influence of nonionic surfactant and pH of solution on formation process of composite deposit structure based on graphite and kaolinite was studied. The conditions of dense and porous deposit formation with high and low conductivity were discovered. A modified modelof slow coagulation of colloid particles with interparticle interaction according to DLVO theory was developed. A significant influence of radius of interacted particles on the Fuchs’ stability factor was observed. This effect results in decreasing of coagulation rate and particle size. The explanation of the concentration of the sodium chloride dependencies of particle size of polyelectrolyte complexes was given.
