Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of trees species in recreational zones of the city of Kharkov in modern condition. The estimation of dendrologycal, decorative and phytosanitary existing and perspective for gardening 193 kinds of wood plants is carried out. Winter hardiness and drought resistance of plants which are recommended for gardening are determined. Recreational loadings and their influence in different parks on functional purposes are established; the allowable capacity of parks which does not influence negatively the condition of plants is established. Average duration of stay of one visitor in parks of city changes from 1,38 hour till 2,43 hours. During days off all recreational parameters on parks increase on the average for 10%. Calculation of ecological capacity has shown that parks of the city have their sufficient stock (from 1,2 up to 19,8 times). Recommendations on the creation of biologically resistant plantings with the use of different approaches are given. Reconstruction of existing plantings will be performed with the help of geographical, climatological, ecology-decorative, taxonomical, mycology-entomological approaches.
