Tykhovska O. The system characters of the Transcarpatian fairy tales: psychological aspect.

In this dissertation for the first time in Ukrainian folklore study the semantics of personages of the Ukrainian fairy tales of Transcarpatia were interpreted in the light of psychoanalysis and the peculiarities of objectification of the archetypes "Anima", "Animus", "Loneliness", "The Clever Old Man (Woman)", "Spirit", "Shade" with the help of content analysis. The characters are considered as objective archetypes of something collective unconscious, and the plot of the tales as metaphoric sceneries of age-old initiation of man (in man tales) or woman (in woman tales). The characters system of Transcarpatian fairy tales is interpreted as inseparable unity of objectified archetypes which in the process of interaction create mosaic picture of the individualization of man who overcomes the bounds between real and unreal and at least finds the way for understanding the Loneliness.
