Essay

The research results of change of one axial compression rock strength in a zone of influence of geologic failure of long workings are stated in dissertational work. After visual inspection of long roadways’ conditions of several mines at the State Enter-prise “Dobropolieugol”, there were three developments on “Almaznaya” and “Do-bropolskaya” mines chosen as an object of researches. Natural tool investigations and laboratory experiments conducted on rocky specimens have allowed to develop ap-proach of analysis of long development stability loss at crossing geologic failure. On the basis of the received results the numerical model, used during numerical experi-ments by a Final Elements Method (FEM) is developed. On the basis of these re-searches it is offered the way of long developments’ stability maintenance in a zone of geologic failures and the technique of definition of its parameters is developed.
