Essay

The thesis deals with the development of new ecological approaches according to exogenous using lectins and lectin containing extracts with the purpose of decreasing damage by diseases and increasing crop productivity. It has been established that sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L.), marigold (Calendula officinalis L.), everlasting immor-telle (Helichrysum arenarium (L.) Moench.), common John's-wort (Hypericum perforatum L.), contain lectin and biological-and-active sub-stances which are able to inhibit germination of pseudospores. Before sowing barley seed treatment by the extracts of sea buckthorn and mari-gold has decreased damage of barley sowing yield flying barley smut Ustilago nuda (Jens.) Kell.et Sw.) on 53.5% - 73.3% and increased yield on 2.2 - 4.4 quintals per ha. Processing wastes of crude drug contain lectins' and can be lectins sources. Eco-logical-and-safe technological scheme of obtaining lectin and lectin containing ex-tacts are worked out.
