Essay

Thesis is devoted to theoretical and experimental studies of interaction between a charge carriers and piezoelectric fields generated by electroelastic vibrations in a sandwich structure, including the piezoelectric resonator LiNbO3 and low-dimensional semiconductor heterostructure. A functional and set of trial functions for the account of the rigid and slippery boundary conditions in a vibrating piezoelectric layered structure based on the Rayleigh-Ritz method is presented. It is shown, both theoretically and experimentally, that tangential components of a piezoelectric field lead to redistribution of charge carriers in the plane of a quantum well, which follow the piezoelectric potential distribution and to changes of the spectral and spatial distributions of the quantum well photoluminescence. It is also shown that the normal component of a piezoelectric field stimulates the perpendicular charge transport processes in the structure LiNbO3- semiconductor heterostructure due to tunneling mechanisms.
