Essay

The thesis contains results of complex pathohis-tological, immunohistochemical, electron micro-scopic and morphometric researches of a brain of patients with postresuscitation encephalopathy which defined features of the morphogenesis of selective death and restoration of brain neurons after apparent death for use in postmortem diagnostics. The main types of neuronal selective death at the postresuscita-tion period are apoptosis, karyocytolysis, coagulative necrosis and retrograde destruction of neurons, which are developed through the postischemic-reperfusion and excitotoxic damages and permanent blood flow unrenewal in brain capillare
