Essay

The peculiarities of the species composition and quantitative indices of its development in water bodies of Kyiv were revealed. On the whole one association, two subassociations, and two variations of phytoepiphyton differing in their floristic and habitats were found in the studied water bodies of Kyiv. It has been found that epiphyton is of considerable in the process of self-purification of lakes and ponds of Kyiv.
