Essay

For the first time in modern folklore studies the dissertation highlights the meaning of Mother of God type in Ukrainian folklore studies in context of folklore/literature connecting and apocryphal writing tradition. Also a semantic of the Mary symbol in Ukrainian national culture is discovered in this scientific work. The Virgin Mary in Ukrainian folklore is one of the special symbols of religious and morality apotheosis.
