Reproductive ability of P. sylvestris is defined and it is confirmed that in both natural and man-made pine families spontaneous self-reproduction of this species from seeds is observed and new local microgroups are formed. P. sylvestris plants of pre-generative age dominate in populations growing in Zarichia and Bir regions. Concerning age peculiarities of the population growing on the territory of Surazka Dacha maximum of the processes are observed in the second generative part. Tree variability by the cone form in natural populations and on man-made plantations is subjected to a detailed analysis and very little connection between cone form and the level of genetic variability of the trees is arrived at. It is established that the relict populations of P. sylvestris under investigation possess less variability level than postglacial populations of this species in other plain parts of the area and they can be used as stable genes donors having overcome evolutionary choice. It is proved that the structures according to the relict population variability indices of P. sylvestris of the Kremenets Hills, Small (Male) Polissia and pine cretaceous in Donetsk region have a lot in common.
