The thesis is devoted to the gelation peculiarities in zirconium oxychloride - alkali reagent system and investigation of physical-chemical properties of synthesized hydrated zirconium dioxide (HZD) samples. The original approach for spherically granulated HZD sol-gel synthesis has been developed using new two-stage neutralization scheme of initial zirconium oxychloride solution.
