Iliuk T. The Ukrainian-Greek educational and cultural contacts: 1991-2007.

The establishment and the process of development of Laws for Ukrainian-Greek cooperation in the sphere of culture and education (1991-2007), evolution of these contacts have been analyzed. The historical preconditions and bilateral agreements that stipulated the development of cooperation have been examined. The influence of international factors on the development of Ukrainian-Greek contacts, the important role of effective activity of governmental bodies of both countries, the sponsor support for spreading cultural and educational contacts have been analyzed. The main stages of formation of the partnership legal base in humanitarian sphere, different forms of cooperation between Ukraine and Greece and the role of so-called "people diplomacy" (personalities, sister-cities) in the development of these contacts have been considered. The multisided activity of Greek Fond of Culture (Odessa branch) for spreading of knowledge about Greek history and culture, the contribution of Greek minority in Ukraine in the development of cultural and educational contacts have been considered.
