Essay

Dissertation is devoted to studies of the electronic structures of hexaborides, and also pressure effects on the electronic spectra and ground state properties of MB6. In order to obtain information about the electronic energy spectra of solids and their relation to low-energy excitations and ground state properties in the investigated systems, the complex approach was employed, which is based on the self-consistent calculations of electronic structure and equations of state from first principles.
