Essay

The dissertation is devoted to solving tasks pertaining to modern theoretical and applied problem on creatingmethods and algorithms for music recognition systems. A new information technology for musical sounds sequences analysis and processing has been created and its characteristics have been analyzed in the work. This technology allows conversion of a given digital sound signal into a note text, which corresponds with the contents of the sound. The technology is based upon methods and algorithms of pitch-based and rhythmic-based musical sounds sequence recognition. These methods and algorithms have also been proposed in the dissertation. The validity and reliability of the achieved scientific results are confirmed by small recognition error values, which were acquired during testing of the corresponding algorithms.
