Object: tructural and functional disturbance in the ankle joint, associated with pilon fractures. Statistical, clinical, laboratory, biomechanical, radiological the scientific novelty: for the first time, our biomechanical investigations have established the stiffness of the ankle ligaments, as well as the optimal characteristics and sizes of the rods, using bench tests. For the first time we developed a diagnostic and treatment algorithm for patients who sustained pilon fracture.
