Essay

Object: structurally-functional violations at osteoarthrosis of knee-joint Purpose: to improve the results of treatment of patients with osteoarthrosis of knee-joint by development of the nosotropic grounded system of prophylaxis of making progress of disease, early diagnostics and system of restoration treatment. Methods: clinical, roentgenologic, ultrasonic research of knee-joint, and MRI, treatment-diagnostic arthroscopy, biochemical and morphological researches, statistical analysis. The thesis has proven experimentally the role of substantial extra-activation of free radical lipids oxidation system in osteoarthrosis development. There have been substantiated the ways of the defined state correction. There has been proven biochemically and morphologically the possibilities of medicines with antioxidant pharmacological property for the structural-functional impairments of knee joint osteoarthrosis correction. The causative factors determining the knee joint osteoarthrosis have been determined. In terms of the sensitivity, accuracy and specificity of sonography, intraarticular MR arthrography and arthroscopy in relation to the articular cartilage of knee joint, and taking into account the influence of free radicals on the degenerative articular processes development, we’ve managed to suggest the algorithm of diagnosing and complex treatment of knee joint osteoarthrosis at early stages. The scientific thesis main results have been practically used at the orthopedic-traumatological departments of Kyiv’s health service institutions and during the study process of National O.Bohomolets Medical University and National University of Sports and Physical Training basic departments.
