Klymenko L. Estimation of agrosphere state of rural settlements according to stable development indices

The thesis to obtain Candidate's degree of agricultural sciences specialty 03.00.16 - ecology. - Zhytomir State Agroecological University, 2009. The thesis is devoted to the estimation of socio-economic and ecological state of rural settlements and the substantiation of estimation methods of quantative and qualitative indices that determine the state and standard of the development of socio-economic and ecological systems of the districts and rural settlements, the definition of their importance in the formation of balanced development of these administrative - territorial units. The investigations were grounded on the use of stock and statistic data. According to integrative indices of socio-economic and ecological development of rural settlements areas their state was determined to the following scale: critical (0-0,2); precarious (0,2-0,4); satisfactory (0,4-0,6); favourable (0,6-0,8); standard (0,8-1,0). On the ground of the integrative indices were calculated the indices of socio-economic and ecological development of rural settlements and it was ascertained that the highest standard of development was in Karpylivka Village area (0,42) that responds to satisfactory. Nine rural settlements have indices 0,2-0,36 (precarious state) and three settlements - 0,11-0,16 (critical state). The typology of rural settlements was done according to three indications: the levels of social, economic and ecological development, that made possible to define the priorities of their development and determine the strategy of their further stable functioning and development.
