Volkova E. Russia's Near East Policy: the mission of N. N. Muravieff, 1832-1833

Object of research - politics of Russia in Near East in last third of XVIII - first third of ХІХ. The purpose of research - to investigate features of process of preparation and realization of peacemaking mission of N.N. Muravieff in Konstan-tinopol and Alexandria in 1832-1833. Methods: generalization, historical and logic analysis, content-analysis, statistical, problem-chronological, structural-comparative, system-analytical. Scientific novelty: for the first time attempt thor-oughly and in details on the basis of introduction in a scientific revolution and analysis of significant quantity of various sources to look after politics of Russia in Near East within the first Egyptian crisis is made (1831-1833). The practical value of the dissertation consists in an opportunity of use of the received results during a spelling of generalizing works on the world history, history of Russia; by preparation of the textbooks on the world history; in special courses and gen-eral courses on the world history in higher educational institutions of Ukraine.
